Are you ready for an exciting new year at River Islands? There is so much in store for 2022! We can't wait to expand and create new experiences for all of our current and future Islanders! Last year, we enjoyed several Grand Openings of amazing new communities, celebrated our residents with the inaugural Islanders Day, and united for a charitable cause during the holidays to spread some holiday cheer. While these moments were so special, we are even more excited to look ahead toward the future.
Get ready to go on exciting new adventures with River Islands! Here is everything coming to our community this year.
New Neighborhoods Coming to River Islands
Are you looking to make one of River Island’s gorgeous neighborhoods your new home? Luckily, you will have 15 neighborhoods from a variety of different builders to choose from! Homes at River Islands range from the $600,000s to well over $900,000. River Islands’ great location offers a wealth of outstanding amenities and provides residents with endless opportunities to enjoy their life. Our new neighborhoods offer a variety of advantages, from lakefront living and excellent schools, to close proximity to an array of parks and the San Joaquin River.
New Additions to Our Educational System
River Islands Academies is expanding! A 9th Grade Academy is opening in the Fall of this year along with River Islands’ newest K-8th school, EPIC Academy. The brand new high school is currently under construction and will open to 9th and 10th graders in 2023 and 11th graders in 2024. Construction is expected to be complete by fall of 2025 for all of our 9th-12th grade students to attend.
New 15-Acre Park
The great outdoors are even greater at River Islands! This year, we are adding another incredibly beautiful new park! A place to relax, play, and watch the sun rise (or set!), our new park is destined to be a stunning spot for families to bond and enjoy their favorite activities! This will be the largest park in River Islands once it’s completed and there will be sports fields, picnic areas, and play equipment for residents to enjoy.
Police Station
Lathrop Police Services, a division of the City of Lathrop Police Department, is getting its very own state-of-the-art Administrative Office. The building was designed by architects, LDA Partners, and will be one of the first things newcomers to River Islands will see upon entering the community! Since the police staff will use this facility to pick up and drop off cars at the beginning of each shift, there will be an active and visual presence of uniformed police officers at the site every day.
