The Giving Tree at River Islands
Once again, we are partnering with the Lathrop-Manteca Fire Department to provide much-needed gifts to children in need in the greater Lathrop community. We know what the children would love to see under their tree this Christmas, and by working together, we can fulfill every wish!

The Giving Tree is full of ornaments; each one with an individual child's wish list. From December 1st through December 16th, you can pick an ornament from the Giving Tree and bring back wrapped gifts that complete each child's wish list. Our friends at the Lathrop-Manteca Fire Department - along with Santa and Mrs. Claus - will deliver the gifts to the children just before Christmas.

The Giving Tree will be located in the lobby of the Welcome Center, 1401 River Islands Pkwy, open daily from 12pm to 5pm, closed Mondays. For after-hours assistance, email Krystal at kipper@riverislands.com.

Light Up the Islands House Lighting Contest
Join the fun in our annual Light Up the Islands house lighting contest, beginning December 1st!

We are awarding 3 homes for the biggest and brightest holiday displays of which the entire community is judging! Register your home to be on the ballot for a chance to win:

1st Place: $500 Visa gift card
2nd Place: $250 Visa gift card
3rd Place: $150 Visa gift card
Registration Period is from December 1st through December 14th.

Voting Period is from December 15th through 22nd.
Photos With Santa
In the spirit of feeling good while doing good, Santa Claus himself will be at the Welcome Center on Sunday, December 14th from 12-4pm for a FREE photo opportunity when you bring in a donation of a non-perishable food item! All contributions to our 365 Days of Giving program benefit Second Harvest of the Greater Valley, our local food bank.

​In an effort to make sure people in our greater community do not go without a meal throughout the year, we're continuing our partnership with the Second Harvest Food Bank of the Greater Valley and have donation bins around River Islands where you can contribute unopened and unexpired non-perishable foods:
