"Light Up the Islands" Rules and Registration Form

  1. Participation is open to all residents within the River Islands Community.

  2. Entry is free, no cost or fees apply.

  3. Employees of River Islands are not eligible to participate.

  4. Contest is for exterior decorations only, including decorations in windows that are visible from the exterior. Voting will be done from outside the residence only.

  5. Voting will be based on curb appeal as viewed from the street only. Therefore, only those decorations located on the on the street side of the property will be voted on. Corner lots will be judged from both streets.

  6. Participants agree to allow River Islands to post one or more photos of their decorated residence exterior on the River Islands social media page and the "Currents" newsletter.

  7. Participants should ensure all lights, animations and decorations are in place and activated every evening during the voting period between 6 pm and 8 pm.

  8. Voting starts on 12/15 and will end 12/21 at 8 pm.

  9. People will be voting using your street address to identify your home's entry. Please make sure that your address is visible from the street.

  10. Three prizes will be awarded: first prize a $500 Visa gift card; second prize a $250 Visa gift card; third prize a $125 Visa gift card.

  11. Winners will be notified by telephone and will be listed in the River Islands "Currents" newsletter.
